TW Kings Cars runs pre-booked airport taxis from Uckfield to every London airport, door to door, 24 hours a day. We pick up from anywhere in the area — the High Street and Bridge Cottage end of town, the A22 and A26 approaches, the station and industrial estates, and the streets out towards Buxted, Framfield, Maresfield and Ringmer — and take you straight to your terminal. No meter, no surge pricing: your fare is fixed when you book, and it is the price you pay.
Uckfield is a proper town on the River Uck, where the A22 meets the A26 — Bridge Cottage (c.1436) on the High Street, The Picture House cinema, Holy Cross Church, and the East Sussex National golf resort a couple of miles away at Little Horsted. Gatwick is only about 27 miles north, which makes Uckfield one of the closest towns in this whole area to the airport.
A saloon car from Uckfield to Gatwick Airport is a fixed £94 and to Heathrow Airport a fixed £132. We also run fixed fares to London City (£133), Stansted (£149) and Luton (£165) — the full table for every airport and vehicle is below. Gatwick is about 27 miles from Uckfield and the drive takes around 40 to 55 minutes in normal traffic; Heathrow is about 63 miles and takes around 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours depending on the M25. When you book, we agree a pickup time that gets you to the terminal with time to spare.
Coming home, we track your flight. If your plane is delayed, your driver simply adjusts — TW Kings Cars makes no additional charge for flight delays — and will text or call you on arrival and help with your luggage. All our drivers are licensed by the local council and DBS checked.

Travelling as a group? Our 8-seater minibuses run the same fixed fares from Uckfield — £150 to Gatwick, £211 to Heathrow, £213 to London City, £238 to Stansted and £264 to Luton — for family holidays, golf trips, wedding parties and group airport runs where two cars would cost more and arrive separately. Everyone travels together, with room for cases, buggies and sports bags. Tell us your passenger numbers and luggage when you book and we will send the right vehicle.
Gatwick and Heathrow are the airports most Uckfield passengers use, but we run every London airport at a fixed fare. London City (£133 saloon) is the business traveller's choice — a small Docklands terminal, fast to clear, and handy for Canary Wharf and the City. Stansted (£149 saloon) serves the low-cost European routes; it is a long run round the M25 and up the M11, so we agree a generous pickup time when you book. Luton (£165 saloon) is the same story in the other direction — a fixed fare agreed up front, a driver who knows the M25/M1 pattern, and no meter ticking in traffic. Whichever airport you are flying from, the price you are quoted is the price you pay.
Uckfield has its own station — the terminus of the Oxted line, with direct trains to London Bridge. But the line stops at London: no train from Uckfield runs to any airport, so Gatwick or Heathrow by rail means a cross-London change with your cases, and for early check-ins the first train often cannot get you there in time. A fixed-fare taxi from your door in Uckfield is at Gatwick in under an hour. For a London day trip the train is a good option — and we run station pickups and drop-offs too.
