TW Kings Cars runs pre-booked airport taxis from Sissinghurst to every London airport, door to door, 24 hours a day. We pick up from anywhere in the area — The Street along the A262, Biddenden Road towards the Castle, The Milk House and Trinity Church, and the lanes out towards Cranbrook, Frittenden and Benenden — and take you straight to your terminal. No meter, no surge pricing: your fare is fixed when you book, and it is the price you pay.
Sissinghurst is known around the world for one address: Sissinghurst Castle Garden, created by Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson, about a mile north-east of the village on Biddenden Road. The village itself runs along the A262 — Trinity Church, The Milk House, the primary school — in the middle of the Weald's garden country.
A saloon car from Sissinghurst to Gatwick Airport is a fixed £100 and to Heathrow Airport a fixed £130. We also run fixed fares to London City (£130), Stansted (£155) and Luton (£180) — the full table for every airport and vehicle is below. Gatwick is about 50 miles from Sissinghurst and the drive takes around 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes in normal traffic; Heathrow is about 71 miles and takes around 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes depending on the M25. When you book, we agree a pickup time that gets you to the terminal with time to spare.
Coming home, we track your flight. If your plane is delayed, your driver simply adjusts — TW Kings Cars makes no additional charge for flight delays — and will text or call you on arrival and help with your luggage. All our drivers are licensed by the local council and DBS checked.

Travelling as a group? Our 8-seater minibuses run the same fixed fares from Sissinghurst — £160 to Gatwick, £208 to Heathrow, £208 to London City, £248 to Stansted and £288 to Luton — for family holidays, golf trips, wedding parties and group airport runs where two cars would cost more and arrive separately. Everyone travels together, with room for cases, buggies and sports bags. Tell us your passenger numbers and luggage when you book and we will send the right vehicle.
Gatwick and Heathrow are the airports most Sissinghurst passengers use, but we run every London airport at a fixed fare. London City (£130 saloon) is the business traveller's choice — a small Docklands terminal, fast to clear, and handy for Canary Wharf and the City. Stansted (£155 saloon) serves the low-cost European routes; it is a long run round the M25 and up the M11, so we agree a generous pickup time when you book. Luton (£180 saloon) is the same story in the other direction — a fixed fare agreed up front, a driver who knows the M25/M1 pattern, and no meter ticking in traffic. Whichever airport you are flying from, the price you are quoted is the price you pay.
Sissinghurst has no station — the village's railhead is Staplehurst, about 4 to 4.5 miles north, and Cranbrook has no station either. From Staplehurst, trains run to London Charing Cross, but no train runs to an airport: Gatwick needs a change at Tonbridge, Heathrow needs a cross-London leg, and you need a car to the station first. Visitors to the Castle Garden and residents alike book the fixed-fare car from the door. We also run Staplehurst station pickups and drop-offs.
